Sam Barnes joins Axon Communications

Surrey, UK-based agency Axon Communications has appointed Sam Barnes director of PR.
Sam has over 15 years of experience in healthcare communications and marketing, and joins Axon from Weber Shandwick where he spent four years.
Prior to that, he spent four years working at Burson-Marsteller, and seven years working for leading pharmaceutical companies GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis.
Ralph Sutton, managing partner of Axon, said: “We are delighted that Sam has joined Axon. We worked together previously so I know that his extensive experience will be a great asset to both the company and our clients.”
Axon also has hired Joss Lyons-White, a recent Oxford graduate, as programme executive.
Lyons-White, who joined the agency following a recent successful Axon Graduate Day, will support the agency’s integrated offering, with both the medical communications and public relations responsibilities.
