UK medicines supplier and manufacturing firm Quantum Pharmaceutical has expanded its team with the appointment of a new head of commercial.
Catherine Brown has been promoted into this new role reporting in to Brian Fisher, the company’s commercial director. Brown joined Quantum in September 2012 as head of strategic accounts, and prior to this role worked at Alliance Healthcare as a national account controller.
Fisher says: “Catherine has done a sterling job over the last 18 months with us. She has an excellent understanding of our customers and they respect her as someone who gets things done. I am pleased that we have been able to promote from within the organisation for this new role.”
Brown adds: “I enjoy the culture at Quantum, it’s a dynamic business which is focussed on excellence. Patients with critical and very specific health needs rely on pharmacies every day. Only by working with partners that understand the importance of quality, speed and service can those pharmacies deliver the best health outcomes for their patients.”
Brown’s successor Kristian Stuart joins from Alliance Healthcare having previously worked at GSK for over a decade. At Alliance, he was responsible for the northern independent sales team, a team of nine area account managers covering independent pharmacies from Cardiff to Aberdeen.
