PSI, a contract research organisation (CRO) with a focus on clinical trial delivery, has announced the appointment of David Allen as Country Manager for Canada as part of the ongoing expansion of its operations in Toronto.
Allen will bring over three decades of clinical research expertise to his new role, spanning both sponsor and CRO environments. He previously held the roles of Senior Director, Global Clinical Operations and Senior Director, Clinical Operations, Medical Device and Diagnostics at Fortrea (formerly LabCorp), where he spent almost a decade. His other roles include Senior Director, Clinical Trial Management at Inflamax Research.
In his new role, Allen plans to strengthen PSI’s delivery organisation in Canada.
In addition to Allen’s appointment, PSI is also building on its Canadian market presence with the opening of a new office in Ontario. PSI has been expanding its activities in Canada for over ten years and currently has an established presence in the Canadian clinical trial market.
Tibor Kovacs, head of North America at PSI, said: “Opening a new office in Toronto reflects PSI’s long-term commitment to Canada as a strategic trial location. David’s experience and leadership style align closely with how we operate – building dependable local teams that integrate seamlessly into global programmes and deliver studies on time.”
Allen added: “Canada has a mature clinical research ecosystem and a strong investigator community. That combination is well suited to PSI’s delivery model, particularly for pivotal trials where timelines matter and execution discipline is critical.”
