Pharma publisher confirms two hires

Samedan Pharmaceutical Publishers has appointed two editorial and production assistants to join Pharmafile and Pharmafocus.
Tom Robinson (pictured right) joins Pharmafile with the experience of working alongside various local news publications and magazines, including a stint working within the NHS.
After graduating from the University of Chichester in 2013, Robinson went on to study an NCTJ-accredited multimedia journalism diploma before being employed by a B2B magazine following course completion.
He adds: “I’m looking forward to joining a well-respected trade magazine and doing my bit to secure its success with readers.”
George Underwood who joins Pharmafocus studied Communication and Media at Bournemouth University, where he was the features editor for its newspaper.
Underwood has since worked in journalism and communication for various companies and publications – from the online car club network Auto Clubs International, to Time Out Shanghai.
“I’m thrilled to be working on such an impactful newspaper and I’m looking forward to being a part of all the exciting things to come in its near future,” he says.
Commenting on the new recruits, Rupert Gilbey, managing editor of Samedan, adds: “We’re delighted to welcome Tom and George to Pharmafile. Expanding our in-house team will help enhance our monthly reporting and further develop the creative design of the newspaper, supplements and industry directory.
“Both enthusiastic media graduates, Tom and George will be key as we move into a busy and exciting 2015.”
