Patrick Walker appointed to PPRS resolution panel

The Department of Health has appointed Patrick Walker to chair the Dispute Resolution Panel for UK pricing system the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS).
Health Minister Earl Howe said: ”I am pleased to confirm the appointment of Patrick Walker as chair of the PPRS Dispute Resolution Panel. The PPRS aims to deliver value for money for the NHS and a fair return to the pharmaceutical industry.
“Patrick’s valuable experience as a barrister, accredited mediator and deputy High Court Judge will help ensure that any disputes arising are resolved in support of these aims.”
UK industry body the ABPI welcomed Walker to his new role, noting his considerable legal and mediation skills and experience of many types of commercial disputes, all of which it said will assist him in carrying out his role as chair of the panel.
