Novartis has named Cynthia Chiaramitara as managing director of its plant in Grimsby, UK.
She will take on the role starting 1 January. Current MD Anne Wirtz will leave her position to join the head office in Basel, Switzerland.
Novartis, who last month celebrated its 20th year, recruited Chiaramitara in 2004. Prior to joining the company, she worked in a range of positions across a number of multi-national organisations, taking the title of process manager and process unit head in Brazuil. Chiaramitara was later relocated to Basel where she assumed the role of global relations head for chemical operations, and later for the Aseptics platform.
