Nicox makes two appointments

French pharma firm Nicox has hired Evelyne Nguyen to be its chief financial officer and Stéphane Nicolas joins its executive committee. 

Nguyen (pictured) takes 28 years of international experience to the firm and a track record in financial management, execution of transactions and strategic planning. She will lead Nicox’s finance, legal and IT departments and will join the group’s executive committee reporting to Michele Garufi, the firm’s chairman and chief executive.

Stéphane Nicolas who has been Nicox’s human resources senior director since 2012, has also been appointed to the group’s executive committee.

Prior to joining Nicox, Nguyen held several senior positions at Laboratoire Français du Fractionnement et des Biotechnologies (LFB), a French biopharma company specialising in therapeutic proteins, including CFO – senior VP, Finance and Strategy, and executive VP, Biomanufacturing.

Nguyen has also worked at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she was involved in the post-merger integration of the firm in France.

Nicolas has more than 20 years of experience in HR management in international companies, most recently as global HR director at Scubapro, a division of Johnson Outdoors.  Before joining Scubapro, Nicolas worked at American Express and Eurosport.
