New editor for Pharmafocus named

Lilian Anekwe has been named as the new editor for the Pharmafocus and Pharmafile brands, and joins the publishing team in December from The BMJ.
Anekwe who succeeds Ben Adams in the position has eight years’ experience as a healthcare writer and editor, and is currently the health news editor at the prestigious British Medical Journal.
Prior to this role she served as a clinical news editor at the leading UK medical monthly publication Pulse, where her stories have won journalism awards in recognition of their quality and impact.
Rupert Gilbey who is the managing editor at Samedan Ltd that owns the Pharmafile portfolio, says: “We’re delighted to welcome Lilian as the new editor. With eight years in healthcare and medical news publications, she has a wealth of experience in breaking stories, gaining exclusives, and producing in-depth features – and I’m sure she’ll take Pharmafocus from strength to strength.
