The Healthcare Communications Association (HCA) has a new chief executive in Anneliese Cameron who replaces Julia Cook next year in January.
Cameron has been involved in healthcare for over a decade, she was the general manager of the PM Society gaining first-hand experience of running a not-for-profit professional membership organisation, and now operates as a consultant at Teasel Consulting.
Stephen Whitehead, HCA president and chief executive of the ABPI says: “Over the past 10 years Julia has worked tirelessly to transform the HCA into a body that provides invaluable support and advice to its members, she will be a tough act to follow.
“However, change is change and I am certain that Anneliese is more than up to the task ahead of her and will bring new opportunities and challenges for the HCA. I look forward to working with her in helping further develop the role and operation of the organisation”.
Cook adds: “I am delighted that Anneliese will be taking over the reins of HCA chief executive when I step down in January. I look forward to working with her in the coming months to ensure a seamless handover and, indeed, to keeping involved with specific projects for this pivotal organisation as appropriate.”
