New chair of the English Pharmacy Board

Shilpa Gohil has been elected chair of the English Pharmacy Board at the first meeting of the newly elected board, and Ash Soni has been elected as vice chair.

Gohil (pictured) said of her appointment: “I am immensely excited about working with such a talented and diverse board. I would also like to pay tribute to the immediate past EPB Chair Lindsey Gilpin, who has left a lasting legacy of delivery which is a fantastic platform to build on.”

Five members of the English Board have also been elected to the RPS Assembly; Rachel Airley, Claire Anderson, Martin Astbury, Liz Butterfield and Sid Dajani.

Commenting on some of the items discussed at the English Board meeting Gohil added: “I know from my work with my Local Practice Forum that an active and engaged profession is a pre-requisite for RPS success. The Society has many channels to communicate with members. We have over a very short time made huge strides in connecting with members as never before and I know the English Board is keen to do even more.”
