KIFFIK Biomedical has strengthened its leadership team with the appointments of Rene Veloso as chief investment officer and Reginald Swift as fractional chief scientific officer.

The US-based diagnostics company specialises in interstitial fluid-based monitoring, a needle-free technology for real-time disease detection and health tracking. This method offers a non-invasive alternative to biomarker detection, with applications in oncology, therapeutic monitoring and broader precision medicine.

“The addition of Rene and Reggie to our leadership team is a game-changer as we embark on our next chapter of growth,” said George Cagna, CEO of KIFFIK Biomedical.

Veloso will oversee investor relations and capital raising from institutional partners to fund KIFFIK’s clinical operations, particularly in oncology and other disease areas. He previously worked as senior vice-president at Locust Walk Partners, where he led mergers and acquisitions for biopharma clients.

Swift, who is chief executive of Rubix Life Sciences, will advise on KIFFIK’s clinical strategy to ensure research meets scientific standards. His appointment builds on an existing partnership between KIFFIK and Rubix, which was announced earlier this year, to advance ISF extraction technology.
