ISPE names vice president of Europe

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering which is the world’s largest not-for-profit association, has appointed former Boehringer head Dr Thomas Zimmer as its VP of European Operations.

In his newly-created role, Zimmer will be responsible for leading ISPE’s business development and advancing strategic relationships in Europe.

He will be working closely with ISPE’s volunteer and staff advisory teams, industry representatives, regulatory organisations and member groups to strengthen ISPE’s relationships.

“Thomas joins ISPE with a strong foundation of pharmaceutical industry knowledge and relationships both within the Society and in the European professional community at large,” said ISPE president and chief executive Nancy Berg.

Zimmer joins ISPE with more than 30 years of experience in the pharma industry. He is a licensed pharmacist and Qualified Person, and prior to joining the firm he was a senior VP at Boehringer Ingelheim.
