
Hugo Mendoza takes on new role at Masters Speciality Pharma

Masters Speciality Pharma has appointed Hugo Mendoza as its new business development director for the Caribbean and Central America territories.
Mendoza (pictured) will operate out of the Davie, Florida office to expand Masters’ business and provide commercial direction to the US team.
He will in addition head up the Masters Drogueria, El-Salvador office, reporting directly to Lynda Foster, the firm’s chief executive, located at Masters UK Headquarters.
Mendoza joins Masters with over 20 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketingand previously worked at Novartis (Sandoz), where he was sales force effectiveness and market access head of Latin America, based in Miami.
With a Bachelor in Biochemistry (Chemical Biology) and a Masters in Industrial Administration, he has held a number of senior leadership and accountability positions at Pfizer in Mexico City and New York and finally as hospital and specialty business unit manager.
Among his other subsequent roles he was business unit director of medical nutrition at Abbot Laboratories, and held commercial directorships at both Leo Pharmaceuticals and Covidien.
The main function of his role at Masters will be to lead the future strategic goals in the area of development and growth of profitable new business.
He will be focusing on long-term exclusive out-sourcing contracts from pharmaceutical principals throughout the Caribbean and Central American regions.
This position will be working in tandem with two other business development professionals to be appointed in Brazil and Europe.
