Hanover Communications has announced the appointment of Jim Baxter to its Healthcare division in order to expand into the brand communications and market access arena.
Baxter joins the firm from Tonic Life Communications where he led UK and Pan European communication strategies for a range of healthcare clients. Prior to that role, he spent five years in-house at Schering-Plough and MSD leading on brand communications across their immunology, CVD, respiratory, virology, and addiction portfolios.
Hanover’s director of Healthcare, Andrew Harrison, said: “Jim’s hire is a direct response to brand clients asking for more integrated services from policy-led engagement with payers and advocates through to traditional PR and communications.”
The announcement is the latest in a series of strategic hires by Hanover to develop integrated healthcare to clients. In July Hanover hired Emma Eatwell to be head of Healthcare in its Brussels office. Eatwell previously spent five years at Genzyme covering Pan European market access campaigns as well as the EU agenda in Brussels.
During the year Hanover has also made hires in the UK at a more junior level from Sanofi, Cohn & Wolfe and Hill & Knowlton.
