Med comms firm Hanover has appointed Richard Sloggett as its new associate director, poaching him from its rival MHP Health.
Sloggett will provide strategic advice and support to Hanover’s clients across the healthcare provider, pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors, according to the company.
He has eight years’ experience in political communications and public affairs, with four years specialising in healthcare, working with clients to deliver disease awareness campaigns, developing strategies to communicate value propositions and building evidence for policy change.
He began his career working for the Conservative MP and now foreign secretary Philip Hammond during his tenure as shadow secretary of state for work and pensions.
Andrew Harrison, director of global healthcare at Hanover, says: “We are delighted to welcome Richard to the healthcare team.
“His extensive knowledge and experience working across the healthcare sector not only strengthens our offer for clients but also reinforces Hanover’s reputation for attracting the best health experts working in agency.
“This is an exciting time for Hanover as we aim to maintain our recent record level of growth by continuing to develop and strengthen our expertise across the business.”
