Ex-GSK SVP instated as CMO at PureTech

PureTech Health, a cross-disciplinary biopharmaceutical company, announced that it had appointed Atul Pande as the Chief Medical Officer. Pande had previously been serving as a Senior Advisor for the last 10 months at the company and now PureTech have made the move to secure his expertise as CMO.

Pande arrives with a wealth of industry experience, having previously held the role of Senior Vice President at GlaxoSmithKline over a period of nine years and, prior to this, had a operated as Vice President of Neurosciences at Pfizer.

Pande commented on his new role: “I am proud and delighted to join this stellar team and hope to be instrumental in enabling the launch of some of the truly innovative medicines in the PureTech Health pipeline. Having been involved in clinical research and development for more than twenty years, I believe that the PureTech Health approach – which starts with ground-breaking science and signals of human efficacy and stresses safety – has important advantages.”
