
EMA hires head of comms and HR

The European Medicines Agency has confirmed two new appointments to join its management team.
Marie-Agnes Heine (pictured) has joined to lead its communication department within the Agency’s stakeholders and communication unit, and Manuel Ortigão begins as the new head of human resources in its administration division.
Heine joins the Agency from the World Health Organization where she was a communication officer. A German national, Heine has over 20 years of experience in media outlets and international organizations.
Ortigão joined the Agency on 18 August from the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound), where he was a research manager.
A Portuguese national, Ortigão has wide-ranging experience as a human resources specialist in various global companies.
