pharmafile | February 19, 2014 | Appointment | Manufacturing and Production, Medical Communications, Research and Development, Sales and Marketing |Â Â Dina Tsiambaou, EMA, ITÂ
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has welcomed Dina Tsiambaou as the new head of its Information Technology department.
Tsiambaou joins the agency from her role as senior manager at Accenture where she had a long career, but the EMA says she also has extensive leadership experience across different industries.
After exposure to a multitude of cultural and social environments from months spent working in China, Mauritius, Thailand, Singapore, Turkey, US, Germany and Ireland, she started her new role at the EMA on 16 February.
As with all EMA staff members, Tsiambaou is required to declare her interests in the pharmaceutical industry and to have divested herself of any shares in firms before starting work there.
The Agency uses the information in each staff member’s declaration of interests to determine his or her level of involvement in specific activities.
