Continuum appoints new president

Healthcare management firm Continuum Health Alliance has appointed Christopher Olivia to be the president of the company.

Dr Olivia will help lead Continuum into the future as the organisation develops its ambulatory service model. Chairman and chief executive John Tedeschi will continue in his role on the Board.

Olivia has nearly 20 years of experience and diversified accomplishments in health insurance, healthcare services and health information technology.

Most recently he served as managing director of Philadelphia-based Navigant where he was responsible for the company’s health information technology and in charge of HealthAware, Navigant’s technology subsidiary business. 

Previously he was senior VP for Strategic Planning and New Venture Development at Highmark/West Penn Allegheny in Pittsburgh where he helped complete the West Penn Allegheny Health System merger with Highmark, the largest payer-provider merger in the US to date. 

“We are extremely excited at Continuum to attract a healthcare leader of Dr Olivia’s caliber. His vast experience and vision have already molded significant healthcare initiatives nationally.
