
Carmago hires drug development head

US drug development firm Camargo Pharmaceutical Services has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Steven Castillo as vice president.
Castillo has more than 25 years of research and global drug development experience and prior to joining the firm was a biotechnology consultant. His management experience comprises clinical operations, clinical pharmacology, medical affairs, biostatistics, pharmacovigilance, legal, finance and business development.
He also takes therapeutic expertise to Camargo, as over the course of his career Castillo has focussed on a range of therapeutic development areas including infectious disease, oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology and biologics, and has worked on combination products delivered through medical devices.
