
Cadence appoints Laureen DeBuono to its Board

Biopharma firm Cadence Pharmaceuticals has appointed Laureen DeBuono to its Board of directors.
“We are very pleased to welcome Ms DeBuono to Cadence’s board of directors,” said Cam Garner, chairman of the San Diego, US-based company. “Laureen has a wealth of experience in senior leadership positions with several private and public life sciences, medical technology and consumer products companies.
“We believe that her extensive background in developing and executing complex corporate and financial strategies will make her an important addition to our board.”
DeBuono will also serve as a member of the company’s audit committee. She has been a partner of consulting services firm FLG Partners since October 2011. Prior to joining FLG, DeBuono served as president, chief executive and member of the Board of directors of Coapt Systems, and as chief financial officer of Thermage.
Previously DeBuono served as consulting chief financial officer, executive vice president, chief operations officer and general counsel of several medical technology, consumer products, and technology companies.
DeBuono is currently a member of the board of directors of two privately-held companies, Cradle Holdings and VenX.
