Boehringer Ingelheim has announced the appointment of Ross Ullman as the executive director marketing of the Consumer Healthcare division.
In the role Ullman will be responsible for developing Zantac and Dulcolax, among other brand management activities.
“This is a position that is pivotal to Boehringer Ingelheim’s continued success in the heartburn and constipation areas of our business, and we are proud to add Ross to our team,” said Marc Rovner, VP and general manager, Consumer HealthCare Products.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity,” said Ullman. “I’m excited to join a highly motivated team and in helping to build the brands and organisation. We all know that connecting with consumers in today’s technology-rich environment can be challenging and I look forward to moving Zantac and Dulcolax to be more at the forefront of this space.”
Ross comes to Boehringer Ingelheim after 14 years at Reckitt Benckiser, where his most recent position was marketing director for the $850 million Lysol franchise. On Lysol, Ross managed a team of 20 people and a $150 million advertising and promotional budget.
In addition, he spearheaded Reckitt Benckiser’s first ever social marketing brand platform, leveraging Facebook, bloggers and targeted community social sites to strengthen consumer engagement and sales.
