AXON Communications adds five to London team

UK healthcare comms and PR firm AXON Communications has added five new members to its team in London.

Lucie Burns joins the agency’s PR team as associate director, along with Karley Ura as programme manager and Samantha Treadwell (pictured) as programme executive.

Working across AXON’s PR and med comms teams, Kate Peregrin joins as a medical writer, whilst Denis Bilotta joins as programme manager.

Burns joins AXON from Edelman in London, and takes eight years of experience in healthcare comms programmes at global, regional and national levels, with a particular expertise in launching new products.

Treadwell also joins from Edelman after graduating from St Mary’s University last year, having also previously worked with Edelman in London.

Peregrin joins from Elements Communications and previously Zaicom Healthcare. She brings almost 10 years’ experience to the team, having moved into med comms in 2012 after eight years working in the field of cancer research and clinical trials.

Ura goes to London as part of AXON’s internal transfer programme, moving from the firm’s Toronto office, where she was involved in a number of PR campaigns. Bilotta takes editorial and project management experience to the company, in addition to his background as a scientist.
