Tony Zook, executive vice president, global commercial operations, said: “Rich is a strong leader who will enable our company to successfully navigate the challenges facing our industry while delivering innovation and value to our customers, patients and shareholders.”
McCourt is currently the president and chief executive of AstraZeneca Canada and will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the US, whilst also heading the US leadership team.
“Marion’s leadership, vision and extensive experience will help AstraZeneca and the patients we serve well at a critical time for our business in the United States,” Fante said.
