Astraveus expands leadership team ahead of Lakhesys launch

Astraveus has announced a series of senior appointments as it advances towards the launch of its Lakhesys Benchtop Cell Factory, an innovative microfluidic system for cell therapy manufacturing.

Jean-Paul Mangeolle (pictured left) joins as chairman of the board of directors, bringing more than 35 years of life sciences leadership, including leadership roles at Millipore, Danaher and Merck KGaA. He has held numerous board positions at prominent biotech companies and will now help guide Astraveus through its next stage of growth.

David Newble (pictured middle) has been appointed as an independent board member. As former CEO of SPT Labtech and TAP Biosystems, Newble played a key role in developing the Ambr bioreactor portfolio. He brings vast expertise in life sciences technology and commercialisation.

Laurence Riot Lamotte (pictured right) joins the executive team as chief financial officer (CFO). With over two decades of financial leadership in the life sciences sector, she has led major financing efforts including IntegraGen’s IPO. Recently, she served as CFO at Evexta Bio, a biotech focused on oncology.

Astraveus’ CEO Jérémie Laurent welcomed the appointments, referring to it as “a transformational time” for the company. He added: “Laurence, Jean-Paul and David are all highly experienced and talented life sciences executives whose expertise will greatly enrich our operations and accelerate our development.”
