Applied Proteomics hires commercial VP

San Diego’s Applied Proteomics that develops protein-based molecular diagnostics has confirmed the appointment of Erwin Estigarribia as the VP of its commercial operations. 

Estigarribia has more than 15 years of operations experience with companies manufacturing vaccines and diagnostics, along with extensive experience in the genomics and diagnostics industries. 

He was most recently with CardioDx as a vice president of operations responsible for logistics, customer service, reimbursement, CLIA laboratory, and information technology.

Prior to joining CardioDx he was VP of manufacturing and quality operations at NuGEN Technologies, and served as associate director of process development for Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics (formerly Chiron). 

Peter Klemm who is the president and chief executive of Applied Proteomics, says: “Erwin’s expertise in the operationalisation of diagnostic tests will be integral to the launch of our blood-based colorectal cancer diagnostic test.” 

Estigarribia adds: “I look forward to building out a commercial infrastructure that will support the company’s mission to transform healthcare.”
