The European Medicines Agency’s new executive director Guido Rasi has appointed Andreas Pott as deputy executive director.

Pott’s appointment follows 11 months of service as acting executive director this year, prior to Professor Rasi taking up his position last week.

Pott took over from the long-standing executive director Thomas Lonngren after he left for the NDA consultancy group last December.

The appointment is effective immediately – Pott will also continue to serve as head of administration in addition to being deputy executive director.
