
Agena Bioscience hires Life Technologies president

Clinical diagnostics firm Agena Bioscience has confirmed that Peter Dansky has joined the company as its chief executive and will sit on the board of directors in San Diego, US.
Dansky is the former president of the Molecular & Cell Biology Division of Life Technologies, and will lead Agena’s expansion of its genetic analysis business into new application areas to include clinical diagnostics.
Dansky has 30 years of leadership experience in strategic business development, and has worked in a variety of areas for many life science companies over time that include: Arcturus Bioscience, Affymetrix, Molecular Dynamics, PerSeptive BioSystems and Millipore.
John Lillig, Agena Bioscience’s chairman says: “Peter’s knowledge of the life sciences and clinical markets, coupled with his strategic and operational expertise, will enable him to guide the highly talented team at Agena into areas of expanded commercial growth.”
