Advarra appoints Brian Hart as chief technology officer

Digital solutions company, Advarra, has named Brian Hart as chief technology officer, strengthening its leadership team. Hart brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare technology, including leadership roles at Covera Health, IBM Watson Health (now Merative) and Merge Healthcare.

In his new role, Hart will lead Advarra’s technology and product strategy, with a focus on integrating artificial intelligence (AI), enhancing cloud-based infrastructure and accelerating product development. His appointment intends to support Advarra’s efforts to unify its technology platforms, improve user experience and increase operational efficiency for sponsors, contract research organisations and research sites.

“Brian’s guidance will be instrumental as we optimise our integrated offerings and innovate responsibly to meet the evolving needs of the research community,” said Scott Uebele, chief operating officer at Advarra. “His expertise in AI, cloud computing and scaling engineering teams will help us deliver smarter, more connected solutions.”

Hart’s arrival comes at a pivotal time for Advarra, which continues to expand its digital capabilities across research review, study startup, operations and tracking.
