London-based PR agency Resolute has won its first global account since setting up its New York office earlier this year.

The two offices will work together on a global PR and medical communications brief for medical imaging firm Medicsight.

Paul Blackburn, Resolute's joint chief executive and founding partner, said: "The recent flotation of Medicsight on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange was met with huge interest and subsequent appetite. This is testament to the potential of the company and its products."

Resolute was delighted with the opportunity to support the market leaders in the fast-paced arena of computer-aided detection, he added.

Resolute's London and New York teams will jointly handle the account, which includes both international media strategy and medical education initiatives linked to a global campaign.

"Resolute's approach combines creativity, strategic-thinking and impeccable tactical delivery," commented David Sumner, chief executive of Medicsight. "Having previously worked with Resolute on several award-winning campaigns, there was no question in my mind about which agency should be appointed to support our ongoing global marketing programmes."

UK-based Medicsight develops medical imaging software for clinicians to use in the detection and analysis of suspicious pathology on CT scans of the colon and lung.
