Taking an advanced injection device from concept to reality requires careful planning, key design and manufacturing competencies and a thorough understanding of end-user needs. While challenges are often encountered when it comes to product development, it is the ability to overcome them in a timely manner and in a way that further improves the device project that is even more valuable.

To provide existing and potential biopharmaceutical customers with a better understanding of past project experiences and success stories in a more tangible manner, SHL will be introducing a series of case studies that highlight the challenges faced during different projects and how they were addressed to produce the most optimal result. A total of 3 case studies will be introduced, featuring the AmberTM Auto Injector, MollyTM Auto Injector and the PPITM Injector, each with a different emphasis.

These case studies will be introduced and available at the SHL booth at the upcoming 2014 PDA Conference in Huntington Beach, California. Both paper and digital versions are available upon request. Please visit us at Booth #411 where SHL’s latest auto injectors, such as Amber, will also be available for demonstrations to biopharmaceutical companies attending.
